CASA SANLORENZO

An innovative, evolving space.

History meets innovation.

Casa Sanlorenzo, set in a 1940s mansion overlooking the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, blends preserved historical architecture with subtle contemporary interventions. Restored by Piero Lissoni and Lissoni & Partners, the 1,000 m² residence, with a 600 m² garden, combines private living with a cultural hub. Over 700 m² of indoor and outdoor space host exhibitions, shows and Sanlorenzo’s evolving contemporary art collection, spanning from 1965 to today. The space fosters artistic research and experimentation, creating a dialogue between generations of creators and contemporary culture.

A truly cultural bridge.

A central feature of the restoration is the bridge connecting Casa Sanlorenzo to its surroundings. Designed by Lissoni & Partners, it combines contemporary sophistication with Venetian heritage, serving not just as a passage but as a symbolic cultural link.

Ascending light.

The glass staircase at Casa Sanlorenzo subtly reinterprets the building’s original geometries. Crafted in glass and steel, it brings lightness to the interior while creating a refined dialogue between original materials and contemporary design.

In an increasingly virtual world, we wanted to invest in presence, in meaningful encounters, and in shared experiences. Because we believe that authenticity requires substance, time and human connection. Venice is the perfect place for this project.
