Fondazione Sanlorenzo reveals its Venice headquarters at Art Basel

At the Sanlorenzo Lounge in Art Basel, from June 12th until June 18th, was offered a first look of what will the headquarters of the Fondazione Sanlorenzo in Venice be. Fondazione Sanlorenzo, established in 2021 by the Perotti family, is dedicated to the promotion of Italian small islands and the communities that live there, by financing ideas, projects and initiatives that contribute to their social, cultural, economical and environmental development.

Fondazione Sanlorenzo will have a main office in Venice wonderfully located in a historic building, just a few steps away from the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute overlooking Canal Grande. Its arched windows will be offering a fantastic view on the city, linking architecture and landscape, nature and art.

The mockup in the center of the Lounge eloquently presents the spaces inside the Fondazione Sanlorenzo, that will host a permanent collection of contemporary art of Sanlorenzo. The spaces will also feature site-specific artworks created over the last few editions of Art Basel that interpreted the values of Sanlorenzo by addressing themes of present times in the context of Sanlorenzo Arts. Furthermore, Fondazione Sanlorenzo will represent a hub for educational programmes, artistic residencies, temporary exhibitions, conferences and so much more.
