Sanlorenzo confirms its role as Founding Partner of the second edition of the Venice Climate Week, taking place from 3 to 8 June.

During the event, Mr. Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman of Sanlorenzo, presents the Venice Call for Maritime Action, an appeal urging Europe to accelerate the development of infrastructure for green methanol and port electrification. The proposal is formalized in an open letter, addressed and to be delivered on June 8 to European Commissioner Jessica Roswall and, in copy President Ursula von der Leyen. In the letter, Sanlorenzo stresses that the technology is ready, but that without alternative fuels available in the main maritime hubs, the transition cannot be achieved.

Supported by SYBAss, the Water Revolution Foundation, Ranieri Tonissi, Nanni, and Professor Manenti of the Politecnico di Milano, the initiative is part of the pioneering path through which the Maison is leading the evolution of yachting towards next‑generation technologies. Among these are the 50Steel – Almax, equipped with a Reformer Fuel Cell system powered by green methanol, capable of converting methanol into hydrogen directly on board and subsequently into electrical energy for hotel services; and the BGH HSV by Bluegame, a hydrogen‑powered, zero‑emission foiling tender that took part in the America’s Cup
